1976

On October 27, 1976, the House of Bijan opened its iconic showroom on Rodeo Drive, marking the start of its legacy in bespoke craftsmanship and quality. The showroom became a symbol of sophistication and exclusivity.

1979

In 1979, Bijan launched its first and most prestigious men's fragrance, housed in a crystal bottle designed by Bijan and crafted by Baccarat of Paris, France. This marked Bijan's entry into the world of luxury fragrances.

1982

Bijan opened its flagship New York store on 5th Avenue. Taking over two years to build, the store was hailed for its attention to detail and luxury, perfectly aligning with the brand's commitment to excellence.

1987

Bijan for Men and Bijan for Women became the best-selling fragrances in the US, further establishing the brand's dominance in the luxury fragrance market.

1992

Bijan launched a bold marketing campaign aimed at the newly elected President of the United States, George H.W. Bush. The campaign garnered national attention for its creativity and audacity.

1995

Bijan launched its nationwide jewelry campaign, creatively combining everyday fruits and vegetables. The campaign cleverly used the words "carrot" (karat) and "pear" (pair), capturing attention with its witty and innovative approach.

2000

Bijan released another groundbreaking advertising campaign, this time inspired by the art style of the late Fernando Botero, whom Bijan greatly admired. The campaign featured visuals reminiscent of Botero’s distinctive, voluminous forms, adding a unique artistic flair. Mr. Botero’s work still hangs in Rodeo drive today.

2008

Bijan collaborated with Bugatti Motor Cars of Molsheim, France, to design custom-made, limited edition Veyrons. This collaboration emphasized both brands' dedication to unparalleled craftsmanship and elite status, resulting in a highly coveted automotive masterpiece.

The House of Bijan was recognized with The Leadership Honor Roll by President George H.W. Bush. Bijan had previously dressed several U.S. Presidents, including George H.W. Bush, George W. The House of Bijan announced a design collaboration with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars of Goodwood, England. The limited edition Rolls-Royce, featuring the distinctive Bijan Yellow, was hailed for its exceptional detail and craftsmanship, exemplifying the synergy between Bijan’s luxury and Rolls-Royce’s renowned precision.

The City of Beverly Hills proclaimed May 8th as Bijan Day in honor of the brand's profound impact on the luxury retail landscape.
